We started using a handheld NIR at the mixer to adjust rations by dry matter twice a day and cut refusals by about 0.3 lb/hd/day last week… What tools or quick methods are you using for wet distillers and silage DM, and do you tie those adjustments to bunk scores or just the morning call?
