Maximizing feed efficiency in our operations

I’ve been looking at ways to boost feed efficiency in our feedlot, especially with the new batch of cattle arriving next month. We tried switching to a higher protein blend this past season, and the results were noticeable. I’m curious what other managers have done to improve their feed conversion rates — any tips or experiences to share?

I’ve found that adjusting the feeding times can really impact feed conversion rates; we switched to feeding at consistent intervals, which helped the cattle acclimate and eat more efficiently. Have you tried varying your feeding schedule?

I’ve seen great results by adding a few probiotics to the feed — the cattle seemed to digest better and put on weight more efficiently. Have you thought about trying that, @andrew_b23?
